For those of you who watch iCarly, you know that Sam (Jennette McCurdy) often speaks about her mother, but we the viewers have never seen her. Well, that’s all about to change as the show has finally cast someone believable enough to have raised a crass and tough-as-nails daughter like Sam.
This is big news as Sam’s mother will be played by Glee star Jane Lynch. If you’ve seen Jane in her role as Sue Sylvester in Glee, you can sure as hell bet that she’ll do an awesome job as Sam’s mom. Jane will appear in the third season of iCarly.
Project Runway's Santino Rice and Austin Scarlett Get Own TV Show

The show, called On the Road with Austin & Santino, will follow around the two designers as they visit small towns in America and create “dream-come-true” looks for women in unique situations.
This concept sounds familiar. Hmmm…To Wong Foo Thanks For Everything, Julie Newmar anyone? If this show has any bit of the campy excellence of the above mentioned film, then it will definitely be worth watching.
The show premiers on July 29, right after the 8th season premiere of Project Runway!
Syfy’s Eureka returns for Season 4 on Friday, July 9. As evidenced by the promo poster for the show, a new addition to the cast is James Callis (Battlestar Glactica). He should make things interesting in an already quirky and lively town.
Mel Gibson continues to unravel and prove that he is crazy as hell…not to mention racist and mysoginistic! Celebuzz has compiled a list of the audacious Aussie’s craziest faces. Check out the list here.
The Syfy series Warehouse 13 returns for season 2 on Tuesday, July 6.

After months of rumors, speculation, and news coverage regarding who will be taking over the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the reboot of the franchise, it’s starting to sound like Sony’s Columbia Pictures will be making their decision real soon.
As we recently reported, both Aaron Johnson (Kick-Ass) and Anton Yelchin (Star Trek) were added to the list of contenders. Now, a report from Deadline reveals that studio decision makers spent Friday reviewing the screen tests of most of the actors who are finalists for the much coveted role.
Deadline mentions that although no one has actually been cast yet and there still might be some candidates added to the mix, most likely the role will go to one of the actors who had their screen test viewed on Friday. Along with Johnson and Yelchin, the actors include: Logan Lerman (Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief), Andrew Garfield (The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, David Fincher’s upcoming, The Social Network), Jamie Bell (Billy Elliot), and Alden Ehrenreich (Tetro). Both Frank Dillane (Harry Potter and the Half -Blood Prince) and Michael Angarano (Gentlemen Broncos) are also still being considered, but it is uncertain whether or not they actually did a screen test.
Ultimately, it seems a decision has to be made in the near future, since production is supposed to begin sometime later this year. Once the role of Peter Parker is set in stone, the studio will be able to focus on choosing a supporting cast that will play well off its main actor. As reported, the 3D film is being penned by Jamie Vanderbilt (The Losers, Zodiac) and will be directed by indie filmmaker, Marc Webb ((500) Days of Summer).
Emma Watson (Harry Potter) recently appeared for the first time with her new boyfriend, George Craig, at this past weekend’s Glastonbury Music Festival. The couple met during Emma’s Burberry photoshoot last summer.
If they were keeping things on the down-low, they’re not being so secretive about they’re relationship any longer, especially since Emma is the star of George’s band One Night Only's new music video for “Say You Don't Want It.”
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, yours truly had the honor and the privilege of meeting the tremendously talented Brett Claywell. I felt a certain amount of nervous anticipation and excitement from the possibility of encountering an actor and man whose work I have truly enjoyed as well as admired, especially in the way he has described his growth from playing the character of Kyle Lewis on One Life to Live to the way he handled the Kish-Kill debacle by ABC Daytime.
I will not disclose when and where I met Brett in order to protect his privacy. I introduced myself to him and he was immediately friendly and welcoming and flashed that huge Brett smile. I told him it was an honor to meet him and shook his hand. He asked me my name and said it was great to meet me.
After the introduction, I asked him about his Desperate Housewives tweet in which he hinted he could be on the show next season. He could not confirm anything, but he said he was hopeful and that he was keeping his fingers crossed. I told him that all his fans are hoping to see him back on their televisions soon.
Brett was gracious enough to take a couple of pictures with me and he also signed a few things for me. On one of the items he signed, the message he wrote was, “Thanks for all the ♥ (My Name)” I asked him to sign a Kish picture and he grinned when I told him that I hope to get Scott Evans to sign the other half. He was also a bit embarrassed about the attention I was giving him, which was refreshing and endearing.
After the photos and the autographs, I presented Brett with a gift. I had printed out the picture of Brett dressed as a pirate that fellow Kish fan Rhombus (Holly) had made. He got a good laugh from it and he loved it. In fact, after speaking with him, I almost walked off with the photo and he quickly reminded me that I still had it and that he wanted it.
During the conversation, I asked if it would be possible to correspond with him so that I could get messages from his other fans to him or get autographs for others and he informed me that he had a fan club president. I told him that we were not aware of that and he acknowledged that he should put up a web site so that people could contact him through the site. At this point Brett really had to go, but I sincerely appreciated that he took the time to acknowledge me as a fan and as an individual.
There is always a certain amount of trepidation when meeting a celebrity and worrying that he or she may not be as kind and genuine as you’d hope them to be, but Brett Claywell is every bit the gentleman you might imagine. He is extremely approachable, affable, and shows true appreciation for his fans. With his winning persona and attitude, he deserves even more success in his career and he has provided me an encounter that I will remember for a long time to come.
You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have pure cinematic gold. According to The Hollywood Reporter, 1980s pop-star rivals Debbie Gibson (what happened to Deborah?) and Tiffany will star together in a Syfy Saturday night original movie. If this isn’t awesome enough, the title of the movie sends this deliciously ludicrous endeavor over-the-top: Mega Python vs. Gatoroid!
I don’t know about you, but I classify this as a can’t miss event. And here I thought this was something that Could’ve Been Only In My Dreams!
(Debbie) Gibson will play a fanatical animal-rights activist who frees illegally imported exotic snakes from pet stores, sending them into the Everglades, where they grow to mega sizes. Tiffany will play an overzealous park ranger who uses dangerous methods to save endangered alligators.
In the script, the pair brawl at a party, then take matters outside into the swamp.
Both singers previously have been cast in Syfy originals but never have appeared together.
Executive vp programming and original movies Thomas Vitale said the idea was hatched by Syfy’s creative team after Tiffany visited their office and said she always has wanted to work with Gibson; the media often portrayed the duo as rivals during their MTV years.
"They loved the idea of taking this perceived rivalry and having some fun with it," Vitale said.
"Gatoroid" is produced by the Asylum. Mary Lambert ("Pet Sematary") will direct, marking the first time a woman has helmed a Syfy creature feature. Naomi Selfman ("Evil Eyes") will pen the script. The project will begin shooting this month and air next year.
Alexander Skarsgard and Stephen Moyer: Hot Rehearsal
True Blood stars Alexander Skarsgard and Stephen Moyer rehearse a scene for the hit vampire series on Friday (June 25) in Los Angeles.
Based on these photographs, I’m quite intrigued by the scene and excited for it to air. Is Bill proposing to Eric? What about Sookie? Oh, those pan-sexual vampires. Is Alan Ball trying to take the show into Big Love territory?
Former One Tree Hill and One Life to Live actor Brett Claywell teased fans with a tweet that he may appear on Desperate Housewives next season. In his tweet, Brett wrote:
Who thinks Brett Claywell would be great on Wisteria Lane???? Hmmmmmmmmm…….. ;)
Now the question remains what role could he be playing. EW’s Michael Ausiello broke the news that Desperate Housewives is looking to add four new characters, not including the ingenious casting of previously announced Vanessa Williams. While three of the new characters are female, one is male and is described as:
Keith: Hot, sexy, 30-year-old contractor. He’s a charming playboy who turns up on Wisteria Lane. Think Mike Delfino 15 years ago.
While this is just speculation, it’s also a possibility. It would be great to see Brett back on television after his unceremonious release from daytime soap One Life to Live this past March.
Katie Cassidy Will Stir Up Trouble on 'Gossip Girl'
All the Upper East Siders on Gossip Girl better watch out next season. Ex-Melrose Place vixen Katie Cassidy will stay with the CW as she ditches L.A. for Manhattan.
Katie will play a student at Columbia University and will be a new love interest for Nate (Chace Crawford). Her character will be causing trouble for several of the characters we already know and love.
This is a delicious development as Katie, who played Ella Simms on the now cancelled Melrose Place, was one of the best parts of that show. Anyone who watched her former show (obviously not many of you did) will know that Katie can play a sexy, devious, manipulating vixen in her sleep. She is definitely a welcome addition to the show, especially since Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen) will be M.I.A. for a majority of the season.
The wait for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is almost over! While the movie opens wide in theaters on June 30, the film’s official premiere was held during the 2010 Los Angeles Film Festival at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on June 24 in Los Angeles, California.
The stars of the film came dressed to impress. Check out the red carpet photos.

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline Attend Kid's Pre-school Graduation
Britney Spears and Kevin Federline were face-to-face once again for their sons’ pre-school graduation, and no scenes were made.
The former celebrity couple arrived for the ceremony at a San Fernando Valley school in separate vehicles and only spoke briefly.
According to a source, Britney ‘was very excited about her boys graduation, and she dressed them up for the festive occasion’.
The pop star and dancer husband divorced in 2007, and a year later they reached a custody settlement that gave Kevin full custody of their two sons, Preston and Jayden, and Britney frequent weekly visits.
Jonathan Groff aka Glee's Jesse St. James took a break from Vocal Adrenaline for his first headlining concert ever at Joe’s Pub in New York City on Sunday (June 20).
Jonathan performed at 7PM and 9:30PM and several celebs showed up to support him including Victor Garber, Zachary Quinto, and American Idiot's Theo Stockman, who also happens to be Lea Michele's boyfriend.
The actor and Broadway star performed a 12 song set:
Paris Trio: Katie Cassidy, Leighton Meester and Selena Gomez
The trio of television hotties Katie Cassidy, Leighton Meester, and Selena Gomez are starring together in the new film Monte Carlo. The three ladies were seen on location in Paris, France on Monday (June 20) filming a chase scene for the flick.
If you need another reason to see the movie, Glee's Cory Monteith also stars in it. A cast of my TV favorites together on the big screen? I’m so there.
CW Ladies Hit the MuchMusic Video Awards: Shanae Grimes & Nina Dobrev
CW girls Shanae Grimes (90210) and Nina Dobrev (The Vampire Diaries) hit the red carpet (lookin’ all cute) on Sunday (June 20) at the MuchMusic Video Awards held in Toronto, Canada.
Shanae tweeted a pic of her heading to the awards with her brothers Adin and Liam. She’s got a brother named Liam? Let’s hope she doesn’t make out with her brother like she wants to with the Liam (Matt Lanter) on her show!
Not Even Morgan Freeman Can Resist Matthew McConaughey
Even Morgan Freeman can’t resist the manly charms of Matthew McConaughey as he gives Matthew a smooch outside of Da Giacomo restaurant in Milan, Italy on Saturday (June 19). Matthew’s baby mama Camila Alves seemed to enjoy the man-on-man action.
